Amr Gamil started his career in 2001, working with several Arabic and international media organizations, including Egyptian Television Network, Associated Press, Deutsche Welle and BBC, before joining Sky News Arabia’s team.

His extensive experience varies from working as a TV and radio presenter and producer, to being a reporter in several regional countries. Currently, Amr presents news bulletin and documentary voice content at Sky News Arabia Radio and Podcast.

What inspired you to work in the media sphere?

Being mature beyond your years, roaming in search of the truth, and witnessing and covering historical events were all inspiring reasons for me to plunge deep into the world of journalism.

What advice do you give to young students who aspire to work in the media and TV sphere?

Read! Reading broadens your horizons and develops your culture. Arabic language is your key for success, while acquiring other languages helps you stand out in the crowd.
